There are hundreds of wedding
officiants that you could choose
from. So why choose me -
Rev. Lidia Claudia Berestecki?
Here’s my story.
I’ve been married to my highschool sweetheart, Ted, for over 46 years and have 2 children (one is a grandma now), 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, Alexander, who calls me GiGi.
Life has been an incredible adventure for me! There is nothing at all I would change.
Okay, I lied – if I could change one thing, I would give up being an accountant probably decades earlier and embark on my exciting journey a lot sooner.
In addition to being a Non- Denominational Minister, ordained through Bancroft Centre for Enlightened Spiritual Growth, I am a registered Officiant with the Government of Ontario to assist you with your wedding solemnization and registration.
Earlier in my career, I was manager of an adventure travel company which allowed me be tour leader to fantastic locations like the Galapagos Islands in South America and Churchill, Manitoba for polar bear watching, and travel extensively throughout the Arctic.
I earned my Masters of Metaphysical Sciences degree from the University of Metaphysics in Sedona, AZ. I am also an Ordained Minister with International Metaphysical Ministry.
I wrote my thesis on the topic The 7 Chakra pathway to Universal Consciousness – opening up the heart chakra was and is a connectivity to the ultimate source and love. This energy is all around us – we just have to realize it is everywhere. And my personalized car plate? 7 Chakra
I've marvelled on the edge of the Grand Canyon, encountered a stampeding herd of buffalo in Yellowstone, I was standin' on the corner in Winslow, Arizona, yachted across the Atlantic twice, and road across the USA on a motorcycle.
A few years later, I founded my own travel agency, Fantasy Travel Inc., which gave me a great opportunity to travel, check out locations for destination weddings, and get a great tan.
I love Ben & Jerry's Brownie Batter icecream, blue cheese stuffed olives
in my vodka martinis, and my
German shepherd named, Reiki.
I became a non-denominational minister because I felt the calling when I was bitchin’ on the back of my husband’s motorcycle along the shore of Lake Erie, I leaned forward and whispered to him, “I want to marry people.” With a little chuckle, he responded, “You go, girl!”
And here I am today.
Over 30 years as a sole practitioner accountant has given me the skills of attention to detail, working under critical timelines, multi-tasking, discipline to get the job done and all with a sense of humour.
I am a Past Commander of the Hamilton Power & Sail Squadron, advanced scuba diver, motorcycle enthusiast, ghost hunter, and I grow very big tomatoes.
